International Izmir Festival, organized by IKSEV – Izmir Foundation for Culture, Arts and Education (Izmir Kültür Sanat Egitim Vakfi), will be held between June 9 and July 22, 2008.

  Vienna Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Claudius Traunfellner, performs at the opening concert of the Festival. Zubin Mehta will conduct Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino at the closing concert.
